Today we are going to be looking at the digraph ‘zz’. This digraph will not appear at the beginning of words so we are going to be looking at reading words that end with the ‘zz’ digraph.

Today we will be recapping numbers to 10 and matching quantities to different representations. You will need your whiteboard and pen for todays live session. After the session you will be asked to complete the maths day 14 sheet.

Phonics

Phonics is going to be slightly different from today. We will run through a five day (five session) rota of: Tricky word, reading a new sound, writing a new sound, reading a new sound and then writing a new sound. S throughout the five sessions we will learn a new tricky word and two new sounds (phonemes). We will practise reading and writing each sound.

Today we are going to focus on the tricky word ‘into’.

Maths

Today we are going to compare mass by using the words heavier and lighter than. You will need your whiteboard and pen for the live session. After the live session you can complete the activity by finding objects around your house. Please upload your photos onto ExXAT.

Daily Challenge

Today we are thinking about our pets. Some of you will have a home pet and some of you will not. We have already had a go at drawing a dog so we thought you might like to try drawing a cat.

Whether you have a pet or not, we thought we could use our imaginations to think of a pet we would like to have. This can be a domesticated animal, an animal you might find in a zoo or an animal you have created yourself.

Can you think of any super powers your pet could have?

Can you name your pet and label your picture? It would be great to see how creative you have been so please upload your pictures onto EExAT.
