Reception blog – 26.03.21

Friday 26th March | 1 comment

This we have continue to revisit the phoneme/graphemes we started to learn during lockdown. The children practised reading and writing: ch, sh and qu. We also looked at the tricky words be and we.

During our maths session we have been given reasons for our answers when counting and talking about different ways of making numbers up to 10. We have started to solve missing number problems by using a number track to help us.

Everything else

Next week in phonics will be be revisiting the long and short ‘oo’ phoneme. We will be completing various reading and writing activities. In maths we will be finding different ways of making 10 and exploring numbers beyond 10 by making and representing numbers in different ways. Please keep practising forming your numbers correctly.

Have a lovely weekend

The classroom looks so cosy and beautiful with the fire on and all those flowers! And what an exciting trip to the farm… thank you all for another great week.
