A Successful First Week Back

Friday 12th March | 2 comments

We have had a fantastic first week back. It is safe to say that all the children were very excited to be back with their friends.

This week have been settling the children back into routines. We are revisiting and revising the phase three phonics what we learned during lockdown. This is to ensure the children have achieved a good understanding. This stage is quite tricky and often takes a longer to learn. We have also been looking at different manipulatives to support our maths work. It is always good practise to understand different ways of achieving an answer or for checking our results.

Next week in Maths we will be consolidating our learning by revising compositions up to 10, writing and recognising numerals and using ten frames and part whole model representations.

In phonics we will be revisiting the phonemes; ee, igh, ng, ai and th. We will be reading and writing words that contain these graphemes and will also have a go at writing our own sentences.

Can we ask all parents to return the pink communication books by Thursday 18th March in order for us to continue with homework from Friday 19th March.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.

Just wanted to say a big thank you.i was presented me with a beautiful Mother’s day card, this morning. Her beaming little face. She was so proud. So very kind and a thoughtful activity to have done and organized with the kids. It really is appreciated. Many thanks.
