Daily Challenge

Today we are thinking about transport. What forms of transport can you name?

Challenge 1 – Think about a bus. Have you ever been on a bus? Where would you like to go? Can you draw a bus with 6 windows?

Challenge 2 – Go for a walk with a grown-up and see what letters and numbers you can spot on the parked cars you pass. Can you find the letter in your name?

Challenge 3 – Think about a journey you make regularly (maybe coming to school). Can you draw a map of your journey?


Today we are introducing the short ‘oo’ phoneme/grapheme. We will be focusing on reading words that contain the short ‘oo’ phoneme. You will need the day 37 sheet for today’s phonics session.


Today we will be continuing to learning number bonds to 10. Please have your day 37 sheet ready for the live session. Can you join in with the number bonds to 10 song below?

World Book Day!

Today is World Book Day! Reception will be celebrating World Book Day tomorrow. You can join us on Friday afternoon with a hot chocolate, for our Friday story time. You can also dress up as your favourite book character or wear your pyjamas. We will post more activity ideas on tomorrows blog!
