This week is National Story Week so we though it would be a good idea to join in. National Storytelling Week is a week for celebrating storytelling and encouraging people to tell their own stories.

Have a go at re-telling your favourite story. You can amend it in any way you like to add an extra bit of excitement and make it your own. Enjoy telling your stories and have fun adapting them. Think big!

Today we are going to be looking at the phoneme ‘ch’. We will focus on reading words that begin with this digraph.

Phonics is going to be slightly different from today. We will run through a five day (five session) rota of: Tricky word, reading a new sound, writing a new sound, reading a new sound and then writing a new sound. S throughout the five sessions we will learn a new tricky word and two new sounds (phonemes). We will practise reading and writing each sound.

Today we are going to focus on the tricky word ‘into’.

Daily Challenge

Today we are thinking about our pets. Some of you will have a home pet and some of you will not. We have already had a go at drawing a dog so we thought you might like to try drawing a cat.

Whether you have a pet or not, we thought we could use our imaginations to think of a pet we would like to have. This can be a domesticated animal, an animal you might find in a zoo or an animal you have created yourself.

Can you think of any super powers your pet could have?

Can you name your pet and label your picture? It would be great to see how creative you have been so please upload your pictures onto EExAT.

Today we are focusing on the phoneme ‘w’. If you are unable to attend our live sessions please complete the sheet for day 10. You will need to practice your letter formation, choose a word to write (some ideas are on the sheet) and then have a go at writing a sentence which includes your chosen word.
