Phonics

This week the children have been really busy during our phonics sessions. They have be learning tricky word ‘no’ and the phonemes: c, k and o. The children have enjoyed watching Mr Thorne and Geraldine before sorting their own items. We have been listening for initial sounds, sorting into groups for initial sounds and blending to read words. The children have been practising letter formation too.

Maths

We have continued to sort this week. We have been sorting by colour, size and shape. We even managed to cover some shape facts! The children have been busy in the different areas looking at shapes and numbers. We are really proud of how the children are using their knowledge around the classes.

Pumpkins

The children loved getting messy! We discussed planting the seeds and what they need to grow.

Can you spot a superhero?

The children have been creative in the craft areas. They have been practising there colouring and cutting skills.

Dress-up and prizes!

Everything else!
