Hallowe’en in Nursery

Friday 23rd October | 2 comments

The children have really enjoyed getting into the theme of Hallowe’en this week. Have a look at some of the things they have been doing…

We have been busy doing lots of other things as well…

One of the most important things we work on in Nursery is language development as well as speaking and listening skills. Every few weeks we will have a word we concentrate on and provide the children with different meanings for each word. Our first such word is ‘tall’. We chose this word as the children were using it frequently in their play but not always getting the meaning correct. It word be great if you can use this word at home with your child so they understand it’s meaning. Have a look at our word poster…

This week the children have also been taking part in lots of physical activities which develop gross motor skills. The development of these skills has a positive impact on their fine motor skills and in turn helps with their writing ability. Have a go with one of their favourites at home…
Ask your child to teach you the moves!
There are lots of other similar activities on Youtube, just search ‘Write Dance’ and have fun!
Enjoy your week off, from the Nursery team
