Thursday 13th October | No comments yet

Reception have been very busy learning about Autumn and Harvest Festival. The video below sums up what wonderful learning we have been doing. The song playing in the background is also a song that the children have been learning. Perhaps they could sing along as they watch…

We are into our second week of phonics and the children have been picking up the letter sounds really well. New sounds this week are:

The children have eaten the following tasty treats to help them recognise and remember the letters and letters sounds: ice cream, naan bread, mango and grapes

The children have been learning about the following numbers:

The children have counted objects and made pictures to show their understanding of the value of each number.

Look at our super work:

Next Wednesday is Reception’s trip to Blackhill Woods where they will be completing lots of ‘Gruffalo’ activities. You may want to read this book over the weekend in preperation. Alternatively,  follow the link to listen to the story on YouTube.
