Fantastic fun at Harlow Carr

Thursday 9th June | 3 comments

Nursery children had a fantastic time yesterday at Harlow Carr. We found out lots of things out about seeds and plants. We had to look very carefully for seeds on the ground and collect them in our bags. We saw lots of things that had grown from seeds – trees, flowers and food. We saw lettuce, strawberries, apples, radishes and lots more! Some children were lucky enough to see a bird feeding his family in a bird box high up in a tree. We saw lots of beaks peaking out of the hole waiting for worms.
We then all planted our own egg plants to bring back to school.
We were all super excited to then explore the grounds of Harlow Carr, particular favourites were the slide and the huge spiders web and spider (pretend of course!). One child said today “Everything was great but I loved my lunch as I was starving!”
Thank you to all the parents who helped on the day we couldn’t have done it without you!
