Just when we thought the snow had gone, it’s back! That won’t deter the Nursery children from making daffodils to celebrate St David’s Day. We have already learnt about the Scottish celebration of St Andrew’s Day and yesterday (1st March) marked the Welsh celebration of St David’s Day. If you are unsure of the story then please watch the story on the blog. We are embracing spring by making daffodils just one of things you can wear to celebrate St David’s Day. We will also be mixing powder paints to paint our own daffodils. We will be reading lots of books to celebrate World Book Day too.
Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to help on Wednesday, further information will be sent home today with your child. The children will be transported by bus to the library for a story and some singing. The trip will take place within normal Nursery hours. Don’t forget your child can dress up (if your child attends Nursery in the morning or afternoon only then they can dress up on Wednesday AND Thursday).
World Book Day
Children can dress up as their favourite book character on Wednesday and Thursday. There will be a prize for the best homemade costume. In Nursery we will be doing lots of book related activities. There may even be a little gift too!
Have a great week, hopefully the snow will go!
