This week in Reception…

Monday 30th March | 1 comment

This week is another very busy week as we are completing our termly assessments. The children are assessed on Numeracy and Literacy and we have already noticed that the children have made very good progress. We find out how many sounds they know and if they know the names of the letters. They also have to write as many key words as they can. In Numeracy we find out how many objects they can count, how many numerals they can recognise and if they can order numbers to 20.
In addition to this the children are learning about the story of Easter. They will have the opportunity to write about the story and produce decorated egg pictures as well as other activities. On Thursday we are finishing the week with an Easter egg hunt. Don’t forget we break up on Thursday! Have a good week, from all in Reception.

It was lovely to catch up on the blog with Charlie sounds like the class are working hard! Charlie has shared his understanding of the Easter story with us and has remembered lots of details. I saw lots of lovely decorated eggs on monday and wish I could come on the Easter Egg hunt!
