A special assembly!

Tuesday 27th January | 8 comments

Today we had a very exciting assembly! A juggler came in to show us some amazing tricks. We were also talking about our new ethos statement: We can learn from our mistakes. Mr Tiffany told us that he had to make lots of mistakes before he could juggle 7 balls and it took him many years to learn how. In Reception we try and remember that we don’t say “We can’t do it” we say “We can’t do it yet!”. Thank you Mr Tiffany!

Gabriella loved Mr Tiffany! I normally hear nothing about her school day, but she described all his tricks, and then practiced juggling til tea time. When her little sister dropped her balls Gabriella told her that making mistakes just meant she was getting better at it! Message beautifully delivered and definitely understood!

I heard all about this exciting visitor on the way home from school today. He certainly made an impression! How wonderful to see someone who has worked so hard to improve his skills.

  3. Kirsty (Charlie's mum) says:

Charlie told us all about Mr Tiffany the famous juggler and how he could balance a ball on his nose whilst on his unicycle. He really grasped the idea of making mistakes is ok and would love to join the circus!

  4. Karan (Joven's mum) says:

Joven enjoyed watching Mr Tiffany and was fast to tell me all about him after school. Joven’s favourite part was when he juggled 7 balls. Joven: “It’s OK to make mistakes because if you get things wrong you just keep on trying.”

  5. Melissa (Lillie's Mum) says:

We heard all about Mr Tiffany too and the fact that making mistakes is ok “that’s how we learn mummy” maybe this will come in handy with her new pogo stick!

Thank you very much for your responses! I’m so glad the children shared this with you at home. Thank you for your support!

  7. Taj (Arjays Mummy) says:

Arjay really enjoyed watching Mr Tiffany do the juggling. He was telling me all about it in the car. As Arjay was practicing writing his number at home, he told me it’s ok if you make a mistake because you can keep trying to get it right. Great way to think Arjay, always trying your hardest. Well done.

  8. Jay says:
