What’s happening in RS and RC this week?

Monday 23rd June | No comments yet

The children have a busy week ahead…

In Literacy RS class are writing a recount of their trip to ‘The Sealife Centre’. I think the top 4 favourite things were Ernie the turtle, the sharks, the turtles playing football and the play area! RC class are reading the book ‘Sharing a Shell’ by Julia Donaldson. They will discuss the characters, write about something they are good at sharing and draw and label something they would like in their shell.

In Mathematics we are practising using number lines but this time to solve subtraction calculations. The children will use a life size number line to jump the steps and smaller individual ones. It is important that they start to hop back from the correct number. They are all doing really well using number lines. We continue to count backwards from 20 to 0, count in steps of 2, 5 and 10 and write numbers to 20.

Alive and Kicking
We are very fortunate to have the drama group ‘Alive and Kicking’ to do some drama work with RS THIS Friday and RC next Friday 4th July. Letters are going out this week. We are asking for a contribution of £2 per child. The children will go on an underwater adventure! We are very excited!

Have a great week
