Piet Mondrian

Last week Shailen told us about a piece of artwork he had done at home based on the artist Piet Mondrian. His work includes black lines and blocks of primary colour – red, yellow and blue. We gave the children the opportunity to create their own pieces of artwork. We used different methods to create the pictures: we used a ‘paint’ program on the computer, real paint and colouring.

I think you will agree it has made a super, colourful display.

Wow! Fantastic art work. I bet Shailen was proud that his work prompted the whole class to create their lovely paintings! Well done
