This week in Nursery…

Wednesday 6th July | No comments yet

We may be nearing the end of term in Nursery but we are still keeping very busy! This week we are continuing activities linked to the story ‘We’re Going on a Picnic’. The children will be busy planning the finer details of their picnic – preparing the healthy food and drinks, planning games and creating a new story.

We will be visiting our new classrooms and seeing our new teachers. This will take place over the next few weeks.

This week some children in are class will be celebrating Eid al Fitr. The children will listen to information about this Muslim festival as well as watch short clips showing how Muslims prepare for and celebrate Eid. In the writing area children can make Eid Mubarak cards. Next week we will continue to learn more about Eid as we listen to how the children in our class celebrated this special event.

Sports Day
Sports Day is next Wednesday 13th July and the focus of the day will be based around the Rio Olympics. Nursery races will take place in the morning. Any children who attend in the afternoon or the end of the week are welcome to join in, although they will have to sit with their responsible adult. All of the Nursery children will be in the Great Britain team and can wear white, blue and red clothing. Please don’t purchase clothes especially for this day.

Happy Eid Mubarak!
Have a great week
The Nursery Team
