Rememberance in Nursery

All the Nursery children have learnt about ‘Poppy Day’. We went in to assembly to observe a 2 minute silence. The children watched a short story about a rabbit who hid under a helmet to be safe during the war. Then poppies started to grow in his field once the war had finished and the rabbit lived happily ever after. The children all helped to make a poppy wreath, which Anya from Year 2 took down to the Cenotaph in Farsley. Mrs Myers played the bugle which made the children laugh! We marched like soldiers back to Nursery.
