RS and RC Easter fun this week!
Monday 31st March | No comments yet
Last week the children learnt about the meaning of the Christian festival of Easter. This week we are doing lots of fun Easter activities. The children will be making Easter cards, decorating eggs, make egg protectors and an egg hunt.
There are lots of Easter bee jobs to complete in both classrooms this week – creating a repeating pattern on an egg, sorting coloured eggs, making egg protectors, looking at animals which hatch from an egg, decorate an egg and drawing the inside of an egg, observations during a Spring walk, finding numbered eggs in the sand and ordering them.
Rodley Nature Reserve
RS class are visiting the reserve on Tuesday 22nd April (first day back after the holidays). Please make sure your child comes to school dressed according to the weather forecast. They will also need a packed lunch as mentioned on the trip letter. RC class are going on their visit on Tuesday 13th May.
Thank you so much to all the parents who either made and/or bought buns. We raised a magnificent £110! This money will help towards the care of Buster, Fudge and Floppy.
The children are going to be challenged this week to help protect an egg. They are going to work in 2’s or 3’s to create an egg protector. They will test their eggs by dropping them from a high wall and hopefully they won’t crack like Humpty Dumpty.
Have a great 2 weeks! We look forward to seeing you all on TUESDAY 22ND APRIL.
Only 1 term left in Reception but still lots of fun learning to be had!
